Chris Evans' response to those Disney pics of him looking photoshopped is A+

Chris Evans poses with Pixar characters at Disneyland California.

UPDATE: Jun. 16, 2022, 9:52 a.m. EDT Chris Evans has proved he really was at Disneyland, folks, unless the Twitter video posted Wednesday (included in the article below) is yet another trick of Photoshop magic. You decide.

Lightyear star Chris Evans was in good company at Disneyland, posing for photos alongside Mickey Mouse, the Incredibles, and other Pixar staples on Sunday. The pictures — adorably awkward or awkwardly adorable, depending on who you ask — even warranted a tweet from Evans, who promised fans they weren't "photoshopped".

Evans shares a super relatable plight of what to do with hands in a photo, but he unsurprisingly managed to make it work. The actor's tweet has over 378,000 likes and counting.

Days later, on Wednesday, Evans posted another tweet showing a video that proved he actually was there, truly, really.

Evans' photo opp appearance comes ahead of Lightyear, the latest spinoff in the Toy Story franchise, starring Evans as the titular character. The film traces Buzz Lightyear's origin story, honing in on the fictional life of Buzz the astronaut, before he became the beloved children's toy voiced by Tim Allen, and known for chiming "to infinity and beyond".

Evan's version of Buzz is a little more serious than the Toy Story pinnacle we're used to, with the film belonging to an action-adventure genre, featuring "ruthless robots", a mystery, and the daunting task of moving through space and time.

Lightyear comes to cinemas June 17. Read our review of the film.
