Best Buy has been having multiple Black Friday sales events throughout the holiday shopping season, all ahead of the official Black Friday sale, which kicked off a week early on Nov. 19. (Deep breaths.)
All deals will be covered by a new "Black Friday Price Guarantee" that Best Buy's discounts won't get any better before the big day — so you know you're getting the best deal possible no matter when you shop. (If a better price does crop up for some reason, Best Buy will automatically refund the difference for My Best Buy and Best Buy Totaltech members; non-members can get reimbursed by visiting their local store or contacting its customer care team about a price match.)
Best Buy says its decision to basically rewrite the October and November calendars is meant to "help [customers] get the goods early." Our take? It's to get a jump on what's expected to be a huge holiday shopping season, but mostly an attempt to avoid those supply chain disruptions affecting everything from computer chips to chicken wings.
This week's sale features hundreds of markdowns on "the season's hottest tech," including $150 off a 70-inch Samsung 4K smart TV, $150 off the matte black Beats Studio3 headphones, and Chromebooks as cheap as $102. We've rounded up some of the highlights below:
Apple TV 4K 32GB — $129.99 (save $30)
Let's be real: Smart TV hubs aren't the most intuitive or the most user-friendly. Access all your streaming apps and sites on one aesthetically pleasing interface with an Apple TV. It'll give you a 4K HDR picture boost, Dolby Atmos fueled sound, AirPlay mirroring, and Siri voice control for hands-free streaming.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A — $99.99 (save $50)
Need a new tablet that isn't an iPad? Try the Samsung Galaxy Tab A. It has an eight-inch screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, 32GB of storage (with a microSD slot if you need more space), dual cameras, a quad-core processor, and the Android OS that so many know and love.
AeroGarden Harvest — $89.99 (save $60)
The AeroGarden Harvest not only ensures that you'll have a healthy supply of fresh herbs year-round in the comfort of your own home, but is also super simple to use for gardening veterans and newbies alike. The Harvest can grow up to six plants at a time up to 12 inches tall, and it comes with a gourmet herb seed kit to get you started.
Shark IQ Robot Self-Empty XL (UR1005AE) — $344.99 (save $155)
Best Buy has the lowest price on this self-emptying robot vacuum at the time of writing. The extra large dustbin makes it a great choice for larger spaces. Factor that in with its smart home compatibility that you can use via the SharkClean app or voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, and this vacuum has the potential to give you one of the easiest row-by-row cleans of your life.
iRobot Roomba i7+ (7550) Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum — $549.99 (save $250)
This is close to the lowest price we've seen on the Roomba i7+ (we've seen it at $250 off before) — and Best Buy is one of the only retailers that currently has them in stock (the i7+ is out of stock at Amazon except for used models). With WiFi connectivity, voice assistant compatibility, and a self-emptying base, you'll basically never need to lift a finger in your home again (at least when it comes to cleaning the floors).
DJI FPV Drone bundle — $999.99 (save $80)
Normally over $1,000, the DJI drone bundle is great for passionate filmmakers and flyers alike. Not only is the drone itself equipped with 4K, 60fps support, and effortless flying — it also comes paired with multiple propeller replacements, everything you need for keeping it charged, and DJI's FPV Drone goggles, which give you an immersive view of exactly what your drone sees as it flies through the air in real time.
Returnal — $49.99 (save $20)
One of the most anticipated releases of 2021 was also one of the most praised. The cosmic horror time loop game Returnal combines intense action gameplay with a sense of mystery and discovery that'll have players engaged throughout its single-player story. In short: If you're lucky enough to own a PlayStation 5, Returnal needs to be in your library.
GE Profile nugget ice machine — $499.99 (save $80)
Drinks are just better with nugget ice (also known as "the good ice"), and that's a fact. It's like having a Sonic drive-thru at your fingertips. This nugget ice machine from GE can supply you with three pounds of that cold, crunchy goodness at a time.
Jabra Elite 85t wireless headphones — $149.99 (save $80)
Whether you're anti-AirPod or need a new pair of gym earbuds, the Jabra Elite 85t are a great option. Packed with adjustable active noise-cancelation, a 25-hour battery life, sweat and water resistance, and plenty more, they're a nice value for the money in a world that's oversaturated with headphone possibilities.
Airpods Max — $479 (save $70)
If you'd like to upgrade your audio setup, these headphones, though a bit bulky, boast some impressive quality and active noise cancellation. While they might not be the best over-the-ear headphones out there by far, at this price point, they could very well please Apple devotees.
TCL 55-inch 6-Series Mini-LED 4K smart TV — $699.99 (save $250)
This beautifully bright TV features Mini-LED backlighting for deep blacks and intense contrast. (That's the same snazzy technology Apple's baked into the latest 12.9-inch iPad Pro, FYI.)
2020 11" iPad Pro (WiFi, 256GB) — $749.99 (save $150)
Thanks to an A12Z Bionic chip, an 8-core GPU, and a Liquid Retina display, this 2020 iPad Pro stands out as a top tablet, especially for creatives. As our reviewer noted upon this tablet's release, "That upgraded chipset and extra processing core are certainly enough to power you through heavy edits." Though it's no longer the most recent model, it still has more than enough juice to get the job done.
Google Nest Mini (second generation) — $24.99 (save $25)
With this Nest Mini that's half off, the price to make your home smart has never been more affordable. A simple "Hey Google" is all it takes to play your favorite music, check the weather, set timers, hear your schedule, or control your other smart home devices. As an added bonus, you'll also get three months of YouTube Premium alongside this mini smart device.
Keurig Limited Edition Jonathan Adler K-Mini Single Serve Coffee Maker — $49.99 (save $50)
A functional coffee maker is an absolute kitchen essential, but a coffee maker with some style is definitely a nice bonus. You can score this Keurig single serve coffee maker for half off to add a fun pop to your counter, without taking up too much space.
